The finished dining room in all its patterned layers
Once again we’re embarking on another One Room Challenge. I have reservations about our ability to finish this time around, yet as always I’m excited to be participating. Week 1 kicks off with the design concept and before photos.
This is the final date to link up for the One Room Challenge! So i't’s time to pre-reveal the room with plans to share the final reveal when the chairs and window treatment hardware arrive. Details about how this space of many layers seems to somehow work, based on the principles of design.
This is finally the week we’re talking about the chairs! They still are not completed yet, (the fabric shipped today to my upholsterer) but I wanted to share the style I am going with and what has to be done to make them look the way I want them to be.
This week is all about wallpaper! Since so many people have asked me for wallpaper demos or tutorials, I’ve decided I wouldn’t do that, but I will provide some of my favorite tips and tidbits I’ve learned, as well as favorite tools and supplies I use for wallpapering.

TRAVEL
This simply magical tower set within the gates of the Rocca Matilde Estate or more popularly known, Villa Lauro Estate, is perched on top of the cliffs of the Gulf of Naples with views of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Sorrento, and Capri.
When we took a quick holiday to New Orleans, we stayed in the Ace Hotel NOLA. I absolutely loved the experience and because I took so many photos of this hotel, I figured it deserved its own post.

Sofas are anchor pieces. For many of us, they’re the first pieces of furniture we ever purchase, be it for dorm rooms or studio apartments. They help to create both spaces for socializing and at times, spaces for solitude. This week I’m sharing the timeless sofa shapes that I come back to in my work again and again.
